UMMI, supported with a social finance framework and powered by financial technology (fintech) partners is among the first Malaysian fully digital Islamic Bank to be established under the new Digital Banking Licensing Framework. UMMI’s driving goal is to champion a more just and equitable socioeconomic status of all Malaysians through providing financial solutions based on Shariah principles that facilitate ethical economic activities. We believe in a balanced social and economic society where wealth and resources are shared more equitably through ethical and productive activities that contribute to a vibrant, transparent and healthy economy.

The word ‘UMMI’ means Mother in Arabic. It is universally accepted that mother is an embodiment of love and care. Additionally, the name reflects strength, unity and resilience. With such esteemed characteristics, we have decided to use UMMI Financial Group as our official Islamic digital bank name. As the name suggests, we have embodied the values and characteristics into our core values, thus reflecting the same in our Vision and Mission.
